[10:27 pm: Enjoying the neon glow of my swanky new apartment.]
I'm probably going to forget how to navigate the Bubble UI, so while taking the tour and lessons, I'm recording what looks important here for later reference.
Done with the tour, which basically points out what the menu options at the left are for. I'll probably get more familiar with these as I build the app.
The boilerplate comes with building blocks I can use, but I can also just start from nothing. It's helpful to look over these to see what capabilities are available to you.
Almost everything, it seems.
To configure an element, just click on it and it will display options you can adjust.
Looking through some of these options, I can't help but wonder how much time this saves, exactly. It surely seems to save time. Instead of learning how to formulate syntax, I just have to learn which checkbox to click.
But there's also learning how to organize that syntax and programming language features that determine how you can arrange expressions. You don't have to learn that in Bubble.io, but it helps to be aware what's going on underneath the hood.
If you already have experience with a programming language, you'd have an intuition on where to look to get something done.
